Battery Park was a trip. It's located at the southern tip of Manhattan next to the financial district. The park is home to two of the most iconic NYC sculptures that represent the best and worst times in the city. The globe that stood in the middle of the WTC complex and survived the disaster has been moved to Battery Park and the park is also were you catch the ferry to go to see the statue of liberty. It was pouring rain the day I was there, and I took the worlds worst pictures of lady liberty. The energy in the park was still as electric as ever with tourists, residents, and moneymakers filling the park. The concrete, glass, steel, and copper objects however, steal the show in this park and cause you to reflect on the principles NYC is built on.
